Services: Web Hosting
We do not offer web site hosting but we can recommend a few hosts. Before registering with a web host make sure the host offers what is needed to run your site, is reputable, and offers a good control panel. I prefer the cPanel control panel as some of the "home grown" control panels usually run light on options. Always check a hosts WhoIs record and if possible check customer reviews for the host being considered.

Penguinwebhosting.com used to be PenguinHost.net and is the hosting service I currently use and have used for about 6 years now. Overall, they are a good hosting service with an excellent uptime and comparable space (300gb) and transfer (300gb) but their mail and tech support (for bigger problems like their Mail and Spam blockers) leaves a lot to be desired.
Also the hosting rate has gone up $10us every year for the last three (3) years.
I considered changing hosts this year (2010) but after doing a bit of research and reading some reviews on the hosts I was considering I opted to stay on with PenguinWebHosting.com. The reason, most of the complaints I read in the reviews were about mail, webmail, and spam blockers (same issues I continue to run into). I know what to expect from Penguin when issues pop up.
LunarPages offers unlimited space and transfer at a comparable rate. I do not have any clients with them and have not heard much about their service. The main complaint I saw in the reviews was directed toward the mail side of hosting which is a general complaint towards most hosts.
Dreamhost is a different kind of host. They offer unlimited space and transfer at a comparable rate. They also claim to be a "Green" carbon-neutral webhost. The DreamHost control panel is a home grown control panel which I am not a big fan of. It seemed a bit light on function and usability. The main complaint I saw in the reviews was directed toward the mail side of hosting which is a general complaint towards most hosts.
Network Solutions has finally pulled their hosting rates in line with other services. The nsHosting Shared (small) package offers comparable space (300gb) and transfer (3000gb) at a decent rate to compete with other hosts. The main complaint I saw in the reviews was directed toward the mail side of hosting which is a general complaint towards most hosts.
I do not recommend this host. The prices are high for limited storage (150mb) and limited transfer (3500mb). A past client had their domain name get trapped with them when SiteLeader did not register it fully in his name. Resolution took upwards of 6+ months and forced the client to register a second domain name just to get his site up with a new host. There was no customer support, no service and emails we not returned. The client ended up going to the hosts registrar service to get any kind of resolution. AVOID
